While the oil crises may be giving way to summer heat waves and vacations, the Florida candidate for governor with the most international business experience answered questions about the oil spill and its impact on the Florida coast.
Daniel Imperato crisscrossed the state through Punta Gorda, Ft. Lauderdale and Tampa as he addressed our state's oil crises. "There is much more at stake in the cleanup operation than the potential loss of tourism for Florida", exclaimed the independent candidate for Governor. Imperato appealed for voters to make a logical choice in November and declared himself "overqualified for the position of governor. But I am concerned. I want to do what I can to help my home state of the last 33 years. I want to generate fresh governance, run by common sense people. Experts in organization, fiscal responsibility and economic development.
"Florida must change its' geriatric nature. We must modernize our economy. And install the infrastructure that will make us a global competitor in many markets leading with energy. While we are engaged in cleaning up the oil, we need to ensure other operations are not in a position to threaten our environment. We must preserve our delicate ecosystem in Florida. It would not take long for a series of unfortunate errors like the BP spill mixed with natural disasters to seriously threaten livability of our communities.
"We must act now to ensure a clean water supply, reduce fuel consumption by connecting our state with both high-speed rail and ferries. We must set strategic water right-a-ways to move people fast utilizing the most modern water transits systems available. We can use highway right-of-ways to build a powerful hydrogen/solar/rail super maglev passenger mover.
"There should be no excuses accepted for this destruction to our environment, and the livelihood of our fishing and tourism industry. Excuses are leaning posts for fools. And we have been fooled.
"It was embarrassing the amount bickering that went on with BP, Transocean, Halliburton and the US government. It is apparent that many in positions of leadership exercised no leadership. Only finger-pointing and denials of responsibility. They displayed a lack of serious intent in dealing with the worst ecological coastal disaster in our history.
"As we see now, capping the well only highlights the fact that flaws exist elsewhere in the drilling infrastructure. Now that we know many more leaks exist questions every aspect of our off-shore oil drilling oversight." The pursuit of criminal investigation supports Imperato's suspicions expressed years ago that a terrorist attack on oil infrastructure may be planned to thwart America's economy even further.
In his address to voters, Imperato reminded voters of his uncanny political prognostications. He made several predictions during his 2008 presidential campaign that have proven true. One he hopes is not true foretold of a major terrorist attack possibly involving the Houston area or an oil refinery in the Gulf region. Now it appears uncanny that overlapping ulterior motives existed to cause him to wonder if this could have been a case of commercial terrorism. Not many Americans or Floridians are abreast of all the implications of this spill and other potential motives.
According to the September 2009 document, four BP officials discovered that Transocean, the rig's owner, had left 390 repairs undone, including many that were "high priority," and would require a total of more than 3,500 hours of labor. It is unclear how many of the problems remained by the day of the catastrophe. One can only surmise that with this many contracting problems on one rig, that dozens, maybe even hundreds more have similar issues.
These questions triggered Imperato to address bigger picture of possible international conflict and a threat to American sovereignty. Executive boards set up for the purpose of governing seas and sea ports, including the expansion of the Panama Canal and the NAFTA trade agreement, are in position to be more powerful than our US constitution. Along with the plans to join USA, Canada and Mexico via the North American Union a new dollar, the AMERO and three new giant shipping ports are planned.
"Bigger ports for centralized shipping in the Gulf? How convenient that the use of the Gulf for recreation and fishing have been destroyed. These activities do not fit well with big commercial shipping. And notice who is builder bigger ships to navigate the Panama Canal � the Chinese.
"So wetlands will be turned into giant shipping ports. Offshore drilling will be controlled by this new overarching governing entity that could impose a global energy tax and a carbon tax designed to enrich the oil industry tycoons.
"Interesting how much oil lobby money has translated into defense of the spill culprits and the drilling industry. It is time for Americans to seriously wean itself off her oil addiction. But we have to place the alternative energy infrastructure in place. That is why the people need to vote for me as an alternate to the BP candidates. Both parties are essentially one big government, big industry party that returns favors to their highest donors. Anyone who votes recognizes this. But voters constantly make the mistake of casting votes for good looks and pocket-books.
"Elect me as your next governor and we can enact needed measures to clean up the spill thoroughly. We must expend all resources available to drop screening filters into the Gulf waters, surround the spill and employ vacuum vessels to siphon up the oil and poisonous chemicals.
"We must not only hold BP accountable, but also initiate a check on all other existing drilling structures to ensure safety is in place. We must defend the ban on deep water drilling and rapidly expand our production of renewable energy.
"Elect me your next governor, employ your fellow Floridians expertise, boot the career politicians and grade our performance in the next four years. I'll be more than happy to make way to others if I do not deliver on my promises."
